“Deep, gentle, present, effective. That is how I would describe Randi’s work.” - Sarah G., Bodyworker/Therapist, Los Angeles
Cranial Sacral Therapy & Somatic Awareness
Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST)
promotes Inner Stillness and Aware Relaxation.
How do you feel when someone is Completely Present, giving you their full attention?
In this space of Deep Awareness, the body is able to self-correct according to its highest intelligence, a definition of healing. The practitioner focuses on the breath, the heartbeat and on the subtle rhythms that can be felt the strongest in the cranium, sacrum and along the spine. By gently holding the bones in these areas, the body begins to unwind and create space along the vertebrae, bringing enhanced life energy to the overall nervous system and a sense of calm to the mind.
There is no direct manipulation of the bones, the body responds organically. It is an embodied experience much like meditation. CST is a great way to practice entering a state of mindfulness if you are interested in meditation, but find you have difficulty making time for it or settling beyond the habit of thinking.
CST is non-invasive and suitable for a wide variety of issues including: Sleep Interruption, Whiplash and Chronic Illness as well as Concussions, Traumatic-Brain Injury and Headaches.
CST also serves as an excellent adjunct to Psychotherapy and Counseling, especially when working through Anxiety or Trauma.
Somatic Awareness Work
Your body holds all your life experiences: what is happening now and what has happened before. Most of us learn to stay guarded to suffering in the past not realizing that this guarantees future disappointment and pain. Learning to connect with your body in Present Time allows for real change in expanding movement and emotional capacity.
Grounded in Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM 1& 2), Neuroaffective Touch and Somatic Inquiry.
